Dua Lipa is a Brit artist/singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd 1995. After a stint as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album reached the third spot in the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released and included Be the only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). The album also climbed at number 6 in the United States. Lipa has won Brit Awards in 2018 in two categories: British Female Artist and British Breakthrough Act, and British. Dua lipa was born 22nd August 1995 in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her parents are of Kosovo Albanian descent. Bosnian roots through her grandmother. There is also a trace of Lipa's ancestry in Peja within Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She has two siblings, Rina and Gjin. Lipa was musically influenced by her father, who was the guitarist and singer in the Kosovan rock band Oda.
